Lia Ready to Dance with Lady Luck in Charlotte
Donny Lia Race Preview
Donny is determined to have a good run in the #07 Truck.
Donny Lia has had several very fast race trucks in his first four starts in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series to start the 2010 season. But fast trucks do not always equal good finishes as lady luck sometimes interferes and leaves the teams searching for answers.

Caught up in an unfortunate wreck in Daytona, along with flat tires at Atlanta and Dover have kept the New York native out of the top-ten so far this season. Friday night Lia and the SS Green Light team hope to avenge some of that bad luck at the Charlotte Motor Speedway in the North Carolina Education Lottery 200.

Lia has one previous start at the fast mile and one half speedway back in 2008, but that start was cut short by an early incident.

Donny’s Crew Chief Jason Miller spent Monday at the NASCAR test at the Pocono Speedway with teammate Jason White and his Crew Chief Doug Howe. “Doug and I worked together at the test and the two of us shared a lot of ideas and working together it really paid off.”

“Doug and I have made a commitment to spend more time together at the track each week to share information and ideas for the benefit of the all the SS Green Light teams. I have a couple things that we are going to apply to Donny’s truck this week,” Miller explained. “I’m excited and I think it will make a difference.”

“We just need to get a little bit of good luck this week and once that happens we can turn this whole thing back around.”

“We are bringing the same truck we ran at Atlanta,” Lia said. “It’s a really good truck. We were running pretty strong at the end of that race and we blew a tire late and that cost us a good finish. We just need to catch a break and we’ll be alright.”

“We’ve been working really hard to put together a new sponsor package,” Lia explained. “There are a few more details we need to get worked out. I’m hoping we can make an announcement soon.”

Bobby Dotter, General Manager of SS Green Light Racing is ready to race in front of the hometown fans. “We’ve had a busy week since Dover with the Pocono test and getting the trucks back and ready for this week, but the guys have done a great job and we’ll be ready for Friday’s race. It always feel’s better when you can sleep in your own bed and drive to the track. If we can catch a break or two we should be able to have several top-tens this week.”

Forty-two trucks are on the entry list for the North Carolina Education Lottery 200.

The North Carolina Education Lottery 200 at the Charlotte Motor Speedway is a one-day show for the NCWTS on May 21st. There will be two morning practice sessions with qualifying at 3:30pm. The race will be shown live on SPEED TV at 8:00pm and will also be broadcast live on MRN Radio and Sirius Satellite radio.
