Donny Lia Finishes Fifth at Stafford
It's Another Strong Finish For the Mod Tour Point Leader
It might be hard to believe, but Donny Lia’s fifth-place finish on Saturday night Stafford Motor Speedway is the lowest that he has finished while still running at the end in any race so far in the 2007 NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour season.
Still, even in a year where Lia is batting an unimaginable .500 when it comes to winning, a top five still isn’t bad.

“We had a strong fifth-place finish at Stafford,” said Lia.  “It was a good consistent finish.  We had a good car, but it wasn’t quite good enough to battle for the win this time.  Now, we’re looking forward to going back to Thompson this week.  We won the last race there and it will be good to get back there.”

The NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour event at Thompson is scheduled for Thursday, August 16th.
