In his recent races, Donny Lia and the #18 LMI team have been snakebit. What appeared to be almost certain top three finishes at New Hampshire International Speedway and Martinsville Speedway were taken away because of mechanical failures. A set-up that was slightly off set them back at Thompson International Speedway. Tight racing and contact took them out of the game at Riverhead Raceway.
Lia wants to change his luck and there would be no better place for that to happen than in front of a packed grandstand for Modified Mania this weekend at Thompson International Speedway (CT).
“The last couple times at Thompson, we struggled,” said Lia. “But we’re not getting ourselves down. We’re going to go back there with our A-game and try to get a good run there.”
Modified Mania will feature four divisions of Mod competition, with the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour taking center stage on Sunday afternoon, September 10th.
